If you like to read, join the club! We’re talking about The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot. After dying of cancer, Henrietta Lacks’ cells were harvested and used for science without her family’s permission. Copies will be available in the new book area and online in the Navy Overdrive e-Library (http://www.navy.lib.overdrive.com). Contact the Library if you would like an account created. Please come chat about books over coffee and cookies! A special Story Time will coincide with Book Club for those with children age 4 or older.

2) Go to the left blue banner and click on the link for “E-library Foreign Language / Culture. You will then have an option to choose from selected language sites. Transparent Language Online will take you to their site (byki.com)
3) Once you register on their site, you can click on the icon for the app for either iPhone, iPad or Android smartphones and tablets (and computers). There are also instructions for activating the account once you have downloaded the app. You can browse the iTunes store for more language-specific apps if you like.
