ADULT SPORTS ACTIVITIES
Adult Sports events are open to all Active Duty personnel, DOD civilians and dependents at least eighteen years of age, out of high school and with valid ID. For all Captains’ Cup events participants must compete as part of their primary command. Captain’s Cup points will be awarded for all Captains’ Cup events. Team trophies will be presented to the top three finishers. For more details regarding any Adult Sports activity please call the Adult Sports Office at 241-2955 | 046-896-2955.
2015 Captain’s Cup Men’s & Women’s Power-lifting Meet
Thursday, March 5 • 1800 • Fleet Gym Basketball Court B
Teams/Individuals must register on site Fleet Gym 4th floor Basketball Court B by 1730 (March 5). Weight Class: 155 lbs below, 156-186 lbs, 187 lbs & above. Participants must play with their own command.

Teams must register by 1700 Wednesday, March 4 at the Fitness, Sports & Deployed Forces Office. Coaches/Captains meeting at 1130, Thursday March 5 at the Fitness/Adult Sports Office on the third floor of the Fleet Recreation Center.

St. Patrick’s Day Half Marathon
Sunday, March 8 • 0700 • Purdy Fitness Center
This 13.1 mile race will take place completely on Yokosuka Naval Base. Preregistration by March 4 is required. Cost is $20.00 per person, $40.00 for team of two. Stop by the Fitness office located on the 3rd floor of Fleet Rec. For more information, please call 241-4486.

Zombie Apocalypse 5K Run
Saturday, March 21 • 0900 • Purdy Fitness Center
Help us bring awareness in the event of an emergency evacuation and join us for the Zombie Apocalypse. Escape if you can! Or ask us how you can volunteer to be a zombie. This will be a fun event for all ages and run with your dog as well.

Navy Operational Fitness & Fueling System (NOFFS)
NOFFS is designed to provide the Navy with a “world-class” performance training resource for Sailors, as well as Navy health and fitness professionals. Using the latest sports science methodologies, the logic engine for NOFFS combines both human performance and injury prevention strategies, resulting in safer training while yielding positive human performance outcomes. The exercises used in the NOFFS product are designed to replicate the activities Sailors conduct in their operational duties: lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying. Developed as a complete fitness package, the Fueling aspect of this resource provides Sailors with the tools required to make healthy nutrition choices in both shore-based and operational environments.
