ADULT SPORTS ACTIVITIES
Captain’s Cup Men’s & Women’s Tug-O-War (10 person Team)
Thursday, October 23 • 1130 • Fleet Gym Court A
Teams must register by 1700 Wednesday, October 22 at the Adult Sports Office. The captains/coaches meeting will be held on site at 1115 (23 October). Teams are comprised of 10 players with a maximum of 2000 pounds combined weight. Participants must play with their own command.
Intramural Flag Football Fall League

Teams must register by 1700 Wednesday, October 22 at the Fitness/Adult Sports Office. The coaches/POC meeting at 1100, Thursday 23 October at the Fitness/Adult sports Office on the third floor of the Fleet Recreation Center.
Command Sports Coordinator (CSC) Meeting
Friday, October 31 • 1100 • Fitness/Adult Sports Office
“Calling all CSC’s, represent your command at the monthly meeting to earn 50 Captain’s Cup points.”
Adult Sports events are open to all Active Duty personnel, DOD civilians and dependents at least eighteen years of age, out of high school and with valid ID. For all Captains’ Cup events participants must compete as part of their primary command. Captain’s Cup points will be awarded for all Captains’ Cup events. Team trophies will be presented to the top three finishers. For more details regarding any Adult Sports activity please call the Adult Sports Office at 241-2955 | 046-896-2955.
The Basketball Courts at Purdy Fitness Center will be CLOSED October 6-14 in preparation for Navy Ball.

Pumpkin Run
Saturday, October 25 • Purdy Fitness Center
Come out as Navy Fitness celebrates Halloween with Pumpkin Run. A team of two will go out and search for their Pumpkin and then work together to complete the run course and obstacles while making sure the pumpkin stay intact. Pre-registration will be required to participate. $20 per participant.

Fit Family Challenge
Now through Wednesday, December 31
In continuation from our summer Fit 4 Life program, we thought it was a good idea to teach kids how to be fit for a lifetime throughout the whole year. For this challenge, we want to invite, not just the kids, but also the parents to come participate in learning how to be fit as a family. Just like the summer program, we will focus on both physical and nutrition value of fitness. Each participation can earn you points towards a prize or even possibly a free week in our Summer Fit 4 Life Program.

Navy Operational Fitness & Fueling System (NOFFS)
NOFFS is designed to provide the Navy with a “world-class” performance training resource for Sailors, as well as Navy health and fitness professionals. Using the latest sports science methodologies, the logic engine for NOFFS combines both human performance and injury prevention strategies, resulting in safer training while yielding positive human performance outcomes. The exercises used in the NOFFS product are designed to replicate the activities Sailors conduct in their operational duties: lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying. Developed as a complete fitness package, the Fueling aspect of this resource provides Sailors with the tools required to make healthy nutrition choices in both shore-based and operational environments. Program Information
