Adult Sports events are open to all Active Duty personnel, DOD civilians and dependents at least eighteen years of age, out of high school and with valid ID. For all Captains’ Cup events participants must compete as part of their primary command. Captain’s Cup points will be awarded for all Captains’ Cup events. Holiday Fitness Challenge
Now through December 31
Stay trim, healthy and in shape this holiday season by taking part in our Holiday Fitness Challenge. This challenge may seem simple, but watch out for the tricky holiday elves that are determined to get you off course. All you need to do is log you choice of activity: 10,000 steps (about 5 miles), attend a group exercise class or play an intramural sport, bike 10 miles, swim 400 meters, perform 50 pushups & 50 sit-ups, or have a PT Session or Massage for 45 days out of the next 61 days! Captain’s Cup Big Turkey Trifecta 5K Run
Wednesday, November 12 • 1130 • Purdy Fitness Center
Not only will we be kicking off the USMC Toys for Tots Campaign but we are going to stop out smoking! Admission fee for this Captain’s Cup run is one unwrapped toy. You may even be lucky enough to win a free turkey. There will be many other turkey giveaways, so come along and get away with some fowl play! Participants must register on-site by 1100 Wednesday, November 12.

Negishi Fall Foliage Fun Run
Saturday, November 22 • 0900 • Negishi Main Housing Gate
Do you enjoy running in nice fall crisp weather? Then come out for this 5K/2.5K run around Negishi’s main housing area. Bring the whole family out for this one, even the dog is welcome!

Turkey Sandwich Bike Ride & Clinic
November 23 • 0700 • Starting from Purdy Fitness Center
Join us for this two hour ride out and back, go at your own pace and turn around after one hour. There will be three pace groups and no rider will be left behind. After the ride you can enjoy some complimentary sandwiches, refreshments, and coffee if it’s cold. Must be 18 and older to participate in this event.

Navy Operational Fitness & Fueling System (NOFFS)
NOFFS is designed to provide the Navy with a “world-class” performance training resource for Sailors, as well as Navy health and fitness professionals. Using the latest sports science methodologies, the logic engine for NOFFS combines both human performance and injury prevention strategies, resulting in safer training while yielding positive human performance outcomes. The exercises used in the NOFFS product are designed to replicate the activities Sailors conduct in their operational duties: lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying. Developed as a complete fitness package, the Fueling aspect of this resource provides Sailors with the tools required to make healthy nutrition choices in both shore-based and operational environments.
