PARTY RUN

Register at the Fitness Office, located on the 3rd Floor of the Fleet Recreation Center or at Purdy Fitness Center. $20 per person includes race number, glow items, chance at the raffle prizes! This event is FREE for E1-E4, however, registration is still required.
Participate in the first ever Party Run hosted by Navy Fitness Yokosuka. There will be DJs, bright colors, a 5K, black lights, Live Music from My Life Story, with food and drinks available from MWR Food and Beverage. A fun run mixed with a party. This is going to be a huge event with plenty of opportunities to win prizes. Plus a live performance by “My Life Story” at the goal line! Bring the entire family and enjoy the party! Coaches/Individuals must register by 1700 Thursday, August 21 at the Fitness, Adult Sports and Deployed Forces Office. The coaches/players meeting on site (23 August) at 0845. Participants must play with their own command.

Teams must register by 1700 Wednesday, August 27 at the Fitness, Adult Sports & Deployed Forces Office. The coaches/captains meeting at 1100, Thursday, August 28 at the Fitness, Adult Sports & Deployed Forces Office on the third floor of the Fleet Recreation Center.
Adult Sports events are open to all Active Duty personnel, DOD civilians and dependents at least eighteen years of age, out of high school and with valid ID. For all Captains’ Cup events participants must compete as part of their primary command. Captain’s Cup points will be awarded for all Captains’ Cup events. Fit 4 Life Summer Camp 2014
Now through Friday, August 15
The purpose of Fit 4 Life is to provide fitness and nutrition education, physical skill awareness and development as well as fun and exciting physical activities to children in need of improvements to their health. In addition, increasing confidence and providing children with lifelong skills that are beneficial for leading a fit and healthy life will be a primary focus.

Fit Family Challenge
Now through Wednesday, December 31
In continuation from our summer Fit 4 Life program, we thought it was a good idea to teach kids how to be fit for a lifetime throughout the whole year. For this challenge, we want to invite, not just the kids, but also the parents to come participate in learning how to be fit as a family. Just like the summer program, we will focus on both physical and nutrition value of fitness. Each participation can earn you points towards a prize or even possibly a free week in our Summer Fit 4 Life Program.

Navy Operational Fitness & Fueling System (NOFFS)
NOFFS is designed to provide the Navy with a “world-class” performance training resource for Sailors, as well as Navy health and fitness professionals. Using the latest sports science methodologies, the logic engine for NOFFS combines both human performance and injury prevention strategies, resulting in safer training while yielding positive human performance outcomes. The exercises used in the NOFFS product are designed to replicate the activities Sailors conduct in their operational duties: lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying. Developed as a complete fitness package, the Fueling aspect of this resource provides Sailors with the tools required to make healthy nutrition choices in both shore-based and operational environments.
