Hiring a personal trainer, come by the Navy Fitness office to find a trainer who can train you in a one-on-one session (Group Training sessions also available).
Holiday Fitness Challenge
Now through December 31
Log your choice of activity: 10,000 steps (about 5 miles), attend a group exercise class, bike 10 miles, perform 50 pushups and 50 sit-ups, or swim 400 meters daily for 45 days out of the next 61! Think you can do it? Logs will be available at Purdy Fitness Center and Fleet Gym.

Starting in January look for our Late Night Fitness Party, occurs one Friday a month.

New You! Movie it & Lose it Challenge

Needing that jumpstart to the new you??? Then this challenge is for you. During this challenge, track your physical activity, weight loss and eating habits! You will have the opportunity to attend our educational classes that will include goal setting, nutrition, exercise planning, eat this not that tidbits and much more.
Navy Operational Fitness & Fueling System (NOFFS)
NOFFS is designed to provide the Navy with a “world-class” performance training resource for Sailors, as well as Navy health and fitness professionals. Using the latest sports science methodologies, the logic engine for NOFFS combines both human performance and injury prevention strategies, resulting in safer training while yielding positive human performance outcomes. The exercises used in the NOFFS product are designed to replicate the activities Sailors conduct in their operational duties: lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying. Developed as a complete fitness package, the Fueling aspect of this resource provides Sailors with the tools required to make healthy nutrition choices in both shore-based and operational environments. Navy Fitness office is located on the 3rd floor of the James D. Kelly Fleet Recreation Center. Events are open to all Active Duty personnel, DOD civilians and dependents at least eighteen years of age, out of high school and with valid ID. For all Captains’ Cup events participants must compete as part of their primary Command.
